Below is a list of FAQs that will assist you during and after your e-voucher purchase. If a question is not answered below, fill in the "I need more help!" form and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
You are automatically assigned an account when you purchase your first voucher. An email will be sent to your inbox with your assigned username and password. Your password can be changed in your Your Account section of this website. If you prefer to register manually, you can do so by visiting our Account Registration page.
Having a Waterfront Charters account makes it easier for us to follow up and track your orders. You will also qualify for our amazing loyalty rewards, specials and discount coupons.

Enter your username or email address in the Reset Password form then click [Get New Password]. You will receive a link to create a new password via email.
You can reserve your seat by emailing or calling our Bookings Office to requesting a date. Have your e-Voucher’s details handy when contacting the Bookings Office. On the day of Cruise, present a copy of the e-Voucher at the Booking Office at least 30 Minutes before departure to receive your boarding pass for the cruise. Do not go directly to the boat for the cruise as the crew require a boarding pass to allow entry.

All Waterfront Charters Vouchers (with the exclusion of the Combo Packages) are valid for a full 365 days after purchase.
The voucher expiration date for Combo Packages will be highlighted in red just before the “ADD TO CART” button.
Please allow for at least 30 minutes to present yourself at the booking office to check in and receive boarding pass.
It may happen that you accidently close the payment portal or take too long to pay the your order, resulting in your order becoming stuck "ON-HOLD". If an order is on-hold for longer than 15mins, it will automatically change to “Pending Payment” . Kindly wait for the status to change to “Pending Payment” and reattempt to pay for the SAME order by going to your MY ACCOUNT > ORDERS page. You may need to refresh the page every few minutes until the status changes.
DO NOT CREATE A NEW ORDER. If you do, make use to CANCEL the "Pending Payment" order. All "Pending Payment" orders will automatedly be canceled after 1 hour.
- Log in on the website with the username and password that was emailed to you on your first order.
- Click on your NAME
- Click On Your Orders.
- Click on Pay under the Actions column in the row of the failed order.
- Review your order.
- Click Proceed to PayGenius.
- Retry paying for your order.
Once the payment is completed & successful, you will automatically receive your e-vouchers on the email address associated with the logged in account.
When you have made a successful purchase of your e-Voucher/s, an “Order Completed” email will be sent your email address used during checkout. This email will contain the e-Voucher/s as a PDF attachment. Each e-Voucher will be its own separate PDF attachment. The Order Completed email will also contain individual links to each corresponding e-Voucher. In addition, you will also be able to download your e-Voucher/s on your Downloads page under the Your Account section. You have to be logged in to access this section. Once logged in, you can click on the Downloads Vouchers link under the Your Accounts menu item.
Waterfront Charters accepts all Visa and Mastercard credit and debit cards for payment of cruises and purchases.
Unfortunately, our systems do not cater for American Express or Diners Club cards.
Please note, it can take up to 48 hours for your payment to reflect on our bank account.
Waterfront Charters has three ticket rates: Adult, Children and Toddlers
Adult prices on the website apply to persons over the age of 18 years.
All the Waterfront Charters vessels carry adult lifejackets aboard equivalent to the total passenger capacity of the vessel; this ensures we always have sufficient lifejackets for all guests.
Children are defined as persons from 5 years old to 17 years of age and qualify for the children price.
Some older children will fit into adults lifejackets; for safety reasons, we also carry a number of children lifejackets in addition to the adult lifejackets. If you have questions when boarding please consult a crew member.
Toddlers are regarded as children aged four and under, and this category includes infants. They travel FREE with adults.
We do not have lifejackets for toddlers as they generally cannot be fitted. Toddlers are therefore the responsibility of an accompanying adult, and for safety reasons must stay under their control at all times aboard the vessel.
Toddlers are always free but are only permitted aboard our motorised cruises. Due to the more extreme nature of sailing cruises, it is deemed unwise for babes in arms and toddlers to be taken aboard our two yachts. Waterfront Charters will always err on the side of safety and put the wellbeing of passengers above all other considerations.
Yes. Waterfront Charters need to know the exact number of potential and actual passengers aboard any vessel on any trip. This is not only for statistical purposes, it is also an important safety requirement. When booking please purchase vouchers for all potential passengers, regardless of age.
PLEASE NOTE:
You are purchasing an open date e-voucher. You can use this e-voucher on any date – subject to availability – and it makes an ideal present or corporate gift. You can now also use this e-voucher to book in advance on a specific date by contacting our Booking Office by phone/email using the unique number on your e-voucher. You will still have to redeem your e-voucher by presenting a copy of it at our Bookings Office at least 30 minutes before departure to receive your boarding pass for the cruise.
On most occasions, we will sail. Whilst a visible sunset would be the best possible aspect of a sunset cruise, Waterfront Charters have no control over the weather! A cruise with or without that visible sunset is still a wonderful experience, and most of our guests are happy to take the trip and enjoy all the other aspects of an Atlantic adventure. The only time we will not sail is if the skipper of the boat deems it unsafe or too unpleasant at sea.
There is an accurate weather forecast page on the Waterfront Charters website: it is worth checking in advance to make sure the weather looks like it is going to fine for your trip. If you are concerned, change the date of your proposed trip.
Both trips are 90 minutes in duration and both include Sparkling Wine and a cash bar.
Sunset Champagne Cruise
The Sunset Champagne Cruise leaves before Nautical Sunset and is timed to return to harbour in the dark, affording the opportunity to watch a Cape Town Atlantic sunset.
Champagne Cruises
The Champagne Cruise is an earlier cruise that normally leaves two hours before the Sunset Champagne Cruise and returns to harbour in daylight prior to sunset. The R50 difference in price is an effort to make the earlier trip more affordable to family groups who are looking for a pre-dinner cruise.
As we all know, sunset times change constantly throughout the year. The duration of the Sunset Cruise remains the same, so the time of departure of each daily trip is set to allow time to enjoy a cruise before watching the sunset. There is a handy DEPARTURE TIME SHEET on the website under the Sunset Champagne Cruise entry, and this gives the dates and times of the changes. Make sure you give yourself enough time to collect your boarding passes and board prior to the scheduled departure time.

Make sure you give yourself enough time to collect your boarding passes and board prior to the scheduled departure time.
