THE ESPERANCE SCHOONER SUNSET CHAMPAGNE CRUISE
Watching the sun set from the deck of a traditional schooner off the beautiful Cape coastline is an experience not to be missed – in fact it’s an experience that you’ll want to repeat many times over. Waterfront Charters twin-masted schooner Esperance is the perfect vessel to host guests for this daily event: a classically built single-hulled boat with fore and aft decks and a bowsprit that all offer great viewing and a true sailing experience as you power through the swells under cracking sails. After an exhilarating sail, we drop anchor off Granger Bay to toast the setting sun with two glasses of complimentary sparkling wine; there is also a fully stocked bar aboard for other refreshments too. An Esperance Sunset Champagne Cruise is old-school sailing combined with the perfection of a Cape sunset, delicious bubbly and great fun!
Places are limited, so booking ahead online is recommended: it’s a superb way to salute the day’s ending and the start of your night time fun!
VARIATION TO CRUISE (DUE TO WEATHER)
For all the vessels, when the seas are running too high or the wind is unpleasantly strong, instead of heading into Table Bay the destination is the Cape Town Harbour for a Harbour Day Cruise or a Harbour Lights Cruise. This safety feature is a perfect alternative, offering magical views of the harbour, Cape Town and Table Mountain and in the evening the lights of Cape Town and the harbour. In extreme conditions, the skipper will take every aspect into account, and even stay dockside to ensure the safety of the passengers .
*In the unlikely event that the primary boat for this cruise is unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances, we reserve the right to utilize an alternative vessel for this experience. Be assured that Waterfront Charters will always make every possible effort to ensure that the advertised vessel is available. Some Cruises do not have a dedicated boat for the cruise and rely on a pool of available vessels at Waterfront Charters to cover fluctuations in weather, seasonal passenger numbers and planned maintenance.
